When asked about what the most important things to consider when buying a van are, the respondents listed the following five priorities:

1. Size of interior / storage space

2. Cost to run (petrol consumption)

3. Cost to maintain / repair

4. Cost to insure

5. Tax bracket

Phil Moss, Commercial Vehicle Manager at Swinton, said: “Choosing the right van for business needs can be a tricky thing. There are a lot of things that need to be considered, including being able to get cheap van insurance.

“It is good to see that our customers are not just choosing a van on aesthetics, but by evaluating the long term cost implications which are vital to maintain a financially viable business.”
